In order to improve the international outlook of the Faculty of Engineering, The 3rd International Summer School is more focused on in the field of traditional urban design and the structure of stone construction,
1. TRADITIONAL URBAN DESIGN ( Semarang- 2 days)
2. TRADITIONAL ARCHITECTURE, INDUSTRIY AND SOCIAL LIFE
Structure- maintenace of stonebuilding ( Magelang-3 days)
3. FIELD STUDY AT DIENG
- OUR TEACHING STAFF
Our teaching staff consists of experts of engineering science, in the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro (Civil, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Geology, Geodesy,Naval Architecture, Environmental, Industrial and Communication Systems. Also accompanied by experts from our field laboratory / local communities.
- LANGUAGE
The official language of this summer school is English. However, Bahasa Indonesia will be used when the participants conduct activities with the local people
- ACCOMODATION
1. Kandri Tourism Village Semarang
2. Villages around Borobudur Temple, Magelang, Central Java. Indonesia () Borobudur, Wanurejo, Candirejo, Karanganyar, Maitan.
These villages are known as traditional villages for tourist destination. These villages exist up today and the existence become a content that keep the culture heritage of the Borobudur Temple.
- APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Participants : Open for undergraduate and postgraduate student
Regisitration : Fees 650 USD (early bird : 500 USD until March 2015 )
(including accommodation in Semarang ,meals, local transportation from UNDIP to Magelang by bus, local transportation in desa wisata, Borobudur by ‘andong’, accommodation in Magelang and join local people to create home industry products like dolanan, batik, wayang, gerabah, local souvenirs,etc)
1.Session 1/ Early bird : 1st February 16th March 2015. Late applicants must pay the full cost. 2.Session 2/final registration : 17 th March 2015 16 th July 2015 3. All students will be informed about admissions decisions by 17th July , 2015
Approximately 30 students will be admitted to our program of International Summer School. We intend to restrict the class size to ensure interactive courses and discussions.
