(5/6) The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) welcomed a delegation from Curtin University, Australia. This collaborative visit was held in the Teleconference Room of Prof. Ir. Eko Budihardjo, M.Sc. Building 4th Floor.
This event is part of a joint effort by the Faculty of Engineering Undip and Curtin University to strengthen their existing international collaboration. Curtin University’s party was represented by Prof. Francesco Mancini, Dean of International for the Faculty of Humanities, and Mina Cho, International Partnership Consultant at Curtin University.
This meeting covered several important topics, including the renewal of the dual-degree program agreement between the Department of Urban and Regional Planning Undip and Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning Curtin, and the potentials for holding a dual-degree program with the Department of Architecture Undip.
Furthermore, this meeting also discussed the preparations for the dual-degree program with the Department of Industrial Engineering Undip and program evaluation with the Department of Chemical Engineering Undip. It is hoped that these discussions will assist the related departments in preparing their students into applying for the dual-degree program at Curtin University.
Prof. Francesco Mancini, as representative from Curtin University, expressed Curtin University’s commitment in extending the collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering Undip.
“After this meeting, maybe useful to have a meeting with the Faculty of Engineering…We are very pleased to extend this collaboration,” he said.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamari, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., appreciated the collaboration that has been established with Curtin University. He stressed the readiness of the Faculty of Engineering to continue its efforts to ensure that this collaboration brings significant benefits to both parties.
“We are still progressing…We will, if it’s possible, we can do it. If it is not possible, we can discuss it to make it possible for us. I hope this meeting will enhance the collaboration between us.” Prof. Jamari said.
This visit was concluded with a presentation and sharing session with students from the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) at the Faculty of Engineering Undip. Hopefully, this international collaboration will continue and have positive impacts on both the Faculty of Engineering Undip and its international partners.
