Fakultas Teknik – Universitas Diponegoro yang menjadi salah satu anggota Ivy (kumpulan Universitas Favorit) di Indonesia mendorong mahasiswa-mahasiswa nya untuk mencetak prestasi di berbagai ajang perlombaan. Fakultas Teknik khususnya membeeikan ruang berkarya, meneliti maupun meriset  seluas-luasnya bagi mahasiswa baik di skala nasional maupun Internasional. JDIE ( Japan Design & Invention Expo) 2018 menjadi salah satu ajang kompetensi yang diikuti delegasi Undip yang terdiri Ari Purnomo, Chusnul Khotimah dan Ilham Nur Hakim Rambe untuk menyampaikan serta memaparkan inovasi dalam bidang ilmiah. Mahasiswa departemen Teknik Kimia ini berhasil meraih medali emas melalui karya ilmiah dengan judul “Integrated Production of Fuel Grade Bioetahnol and Biodiesel From Organic Waste Using Hydrophobic Zeolite AS Separating Event”.
Acara yang berlangsung 3-5 Agustus 2018 lalu ini, merupakan Expo pameran inovasi kreativitas dalam bidang teknologi yang diadakan oleh WIIPA Japan.
