(18/7) Undip Engineering Student Choir (PSMT Undip) officially sends Aksa Swara Indonesia Team to enter two major competitions, namely the 12th Bali International Choir Festival and the 9th Satya Gita Choir Festival. The launching of this contingent was held ceremonially at the Engineering Hall, Dekanat Building 5th Floor.
The Chief of Aksa Swara Indonesia, Haris Geovani explained that the team will now prepare for the nearest competition, the 12th Bali International Choir Festival that will be held on 25-29 July 2023 in Bali. “We are planning to compete in two major competitions this year, the closest one is the 12th Bali International Choir Festival,” Haris said.
At this ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M, M.Sc, Ph.D, was present to provide moral support for the team that had previously won the Grand Prix at the 18th Busan Choral Festival and Competition. For him, Aksa Swara Indonesia and PSMT Undip are part of the big family of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, hence their presence in national and international competitions, such as the 18th Bali International Choir Festival, is a form of showing off from the Faculty of Engineering Undip in the international level and thus needs to be fully supported. “The participation of Aksa Swara Indonesia is the key for us (the Faculty of Engineering) to show off at the international level,” he said.
Prof. Agung reminded the team to keep their behavior during the competition. He hoped that Aksa Swara Indonesia can be a good representation of the Faculty of Engineering Undip and can bring the best results in this year’s competitions. “Keep your behavior, keep your character, show that you are representing the Faculty of Engineering,” he said.
In this event, Aksa Swara Indonesia had the opportunity to perform several songs that they will perform later at the competition. Head of PSMT Undip, Marco Hotradero Febrian S hoped that Aksa Swara Indonesia can be more developed, more respected, and continue to make achievements for the Faculty of Engineering Undip and Indonesia. “The challenge of student choirs is the change of singers every year. Therefore, there is a regeneration for the singers in Aksa Swara Indonesia, so I hope that Aksa Swara Indonesia can be mature and make achievements to make the Faculty of Engineering Undip and Indonesia proud. In addition, I hoped that Aksa Swara Indonesia could be one of the most well-known and respected teams in the choir world,” he said.
Aksa Swara Indonesia is currently competing in the 12th Bali International Choir Festival held on 25-29 July 2023 in Bali. Let’s give our best support to Aksa Swara Indonesia so that they can give their best during the competition. Keep up the good work, Aksa Swara Indonesia!
