Research Award for Prof. Dr. Sunarso; Dr. Seno Johari, Dr. I Nyoman Widiasa, and Ir. Budiyono, MS. from SEARCA Semarang, undip.ac.idThe Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) awarded Prof. Dr. Ir. Sunarso, MS. (Principal Reseacher, Fac. of Animal Agriculture), Dr. Ir. Seno Johari, MSc. (Fac. of Animal Agriculture), Dr. I Nyoman Widiasa, ST.,  MT. (Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Fac. of Engineering), and Ir. Budiyono, MSi. (Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Fac. of Engineering) the R&D project of the year. The title of their research project is “COMBINING HIGH RATE ANAEROBIC BIODIGESTER (HiRAB) AND MEMBRANE SEPARATION TECHNOLOGY FOR INCREASING BIOGAS PRODUCTION EFFICIENCY FROM SLAUGHTERHOUSE WASTES“.

The award was presented to Ir. Budiyono, MSi. as a representative of the R & D Team on 19 November 2009 at University of Philipine at Los Banos (UPLB) Manila Philipine.

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) was established by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in 1966 primarily “to provide to the participating countries high quality graduate study in agriculture; promote, undertake, and coordinate research programs related to the needs and problems of the Southeast Asian region; and disseminate the findings of agricultural research and experimentation.”

SEARCA will actively work for synergy among these three mission areas by developing highly relevant flagship and special programs that further enhance its impact on creating an enabling environment for sustained rural poverty reduction and food security in Southeast Asia.
