(22/6) The Department of Architecture Undip held the 156th Final Project (Tugas Akhir, TA) Exhibition and the Final Project (TA) Awards in the C101 Room of the Department of Architecture Undip. This exhibition is a periodic event held by the Department of Architecture to show the works of their students to the public as well as a medium of appreciation from the Department to their students who have finished their final project well. The Department of Architecture collaborated with the Executive Board of Architecture Students (Himpunan Mahasiswa Arsitektur, HMA) Amoghasida as their student partner to organize this program.
Dr. Resza Riskiyanto, S.T., M.T, coordinator for this program from the Department of Architecture, said that this Final Project Exhibition and TA Awards were held twice a year. For this year, more than 140 students from the Department of Architecture Undip participated in this Final Project Exhibition which was held offline for the first time after almost two years of being held online due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. “This exhibition was held twice a year, and will be held until the graduation,” he said.
He also added, at every Final Project Exhibition, there is an awarding event for the final projects with the best design called TA (Final Project) Awards. TA Awards itself is a form of appreciation from the Department of Architecture to their students with the best work in every Final Project Exhibition. In this TA Awards, the Department of Architecture Undip invited two guest lecturers from outside of Universitas Diponegoro as the judges, namely Kristanti Dewi Paramita, S.Ars., M.A., Ph.D. from Universitas Indonesia, Dani Hermawan, S.T, M.Arch from Universitas Pelita Harapan, dan Defry Agatha Ardianta, S.T, M.T from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November Surabaya. “The student’s work that won the award can be included in SKPI (Surat Keterangan Pendamping Ijazah, Bachelor’s Certificate Companion Letter) as their achievement, so it can motivate students to finish their work,” he said.
Muhammad Amir Akram, the person in charge of this program from HMA Amoghasida, said that this exhibition was aimed specifically for the final year students who had finished their final project and was attended by various audiences, ranging from the general public to other students. Besides the academics, several architecture practitioners also invited to attend and evaluate the works displayed in the exhibition. As the person in charge, he himself was grateful that the execution of the Final Project Exhibition and TA Awards this year went quite smoothly although there were some obstacles due to the first time this event was held offline. “For yesterday, I think it went quite smoothly, but there were a few problems because that was the first time for us to held it again after the pandemic.”
On this TA Awards, four works were selected as the winners, namely “BONAPPETEA” BY Ardian Nabil Farizi, “Designing Muntilan Station with Way Finding Approach” by Ivan Valentino, “Center for Education and Disaster Mitigation Design through Spatial Experience Narrative” by M. Ziyad Hibatulloh, and “LPP RRI Semarang Radio Headquarters” by M. Falih Syifa. Mr Resza hoped that with this Final Project Exhibition and TA Awards, students can be encouraged to finish their final project. “Hopefully this program can motivate other students,” he said.
