(31/5) The Faculty of Engineering entered into a collaboration with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE). The signing ceremony was held in the Engineering Hall, Dekanat Building 5th Floor. At this event, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Undip, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M, M.Sc, Ph.D, also present with the Senior Manager for East Area Asset Exploration of PT PHE, Arie Naskawan.

The signing of this collaboration is the result of the previous collaboration between Geological Engineering Undip and PT PHE, in which Geological Engineering Undip had the opportunity to do research regarding the development of a new oil and gas mining block in Tarakan and Kutai. This collaboration pact is intended as a legalization effort for the collaboration that not only includes research but also other fields such as educational cooperation and community service.

As an international-level corporation, PT PHE is one of the leading partners working that collaborates with the Faculty of Engineering.” The signing of this collaboration is in line with our vision and mission as an excellent research-based and internationally standardized campus. As an international corporation, PT PHE is a suitable partner for us,” said Prof. Agung.

He hoped that this collaboration between PT PHE and the Faculty of Engineering Undip will not only focus on research related to the development of the mining sites in Tarakan and Kutai Basin but also continue in other fields, especially those related to education and the needs of the academicians in the Faculty of Engineering, such as internship using MBKM (Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka, MBKM, is a program where students can take courses in the form of internship and other forms) scheme. ”I hope that this collaboration is able to enrich the knowledge of the lecturers so that their work will improve, their knowledge will be enhanced, and their students can upgrade their knowledge,” he said.
