(14/8) The Faculty of Engineering Undip officially inaugurated its 856 graduates at the 171st Graduation of Universitas Diponegoro which took place at Prof. Soedarto, S.H Building, Undip Tembalang Campus. On this graduation ceremony, the Faculty of Engineering had the opportunity to conduct the graduation in Part I until Part VI which was held on 8, 9, and 14 August 2023.
In this 171st graduation, there were around 4077 graduates who were inaugurated by Universitas Diponegoro. At this graduation, the Faculty of Engineering not only inaugurated their graduates from the undergraduate program but also there were 94 graduates from the master’s and doctoral programs and 193 graduates from the professional engineering program.
From those 856 graduates who were graduated by the Faculty of Engineering, there were 595 graduates that successfully achieved the cum laude predicate. Moreover, there were six foreign graduates who also finished their studies and joined the ceremony this time. Those six foreign graduates are Asim Aamir from Pakistan (graduated from the Master Program of Mechanical Engineering), Tuyizere Vedaste from Rwanda (graduated from the Master Program of Industrial Engineering and Management), Syed Uzair Amjad from Pakistan (graduated from the Master Program of Environmental Engineering), Peter Wachira Gathere from Kenya (graduated from the Master Program of Environmental Engineering), Adeeb Hayel Saeed Zaid from Yaman (graduated from the Master Program of Environmental Engineering), and Raphael Oceng from Uganda (graduated from the Master Program of Environmental Engineering).
Cinka Sihaloho, the representative of the Faculty of Engineering graduates from the Department of Computer Engineering, had the opportunity to deliver a speech at this graduation ceremony. On her speech, she conveyed the importance of sustaining the COMPLETE value which is the basic value for all of Universitas Diponegoro students. Furthermore, she also hoped that all graduates can implement their knowledge and participate in building Indonesia better. “Hopefully all the knowledge obtained during our study in Universitas Diponegoro could make us an agent of change who are ready to be involved in implementing the knowledge obtained to the community, the professional world, and the development,” she said in her speech.
The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H, M.Hum, revealed that he was grateful that the students could finally complete their study and graduated on this graduation period. In his speech, he advised the graduates to be always dare to step ahead in order to achieve success in the future. “Go forward Undip alumni! Never back down! Ever forward, never retreat!
