Undip and District Government of Batang signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) about education, research, community service and planning of area development at Courtroom of Rector Tembalang, Wednesday, February 8th, 2017. The purpose of MoU is to increase resource potential in order to support program of area development and empower communities.
Speaking in the event, Rector of Diponegoro University, Prof. Yos Johan Utama said that the program is in line with the direction of development in accordance with national policy, especially development in Central Java province.
“Undip with study centers owned is ready for supporting local government to implement development program supported by application of technology, dissemination of rules and softskill training.
Meanwhile, head of department of public works and space arrangement of District Government of Batang, Ir. Ketut Mariadji said thank you and appreciated for Undip. Further, he said “ I say thank you because Undip is ready to support the development program in District Government of Batang”.
“Besides to support development program phisically, it is to empower human resources also”, he said.
Hence, academical role is very essential to support the program of area development.

Diponegoro University inaugurate 2.177 graduates at the 145th graduation ceremony in Building Prof.H. Soedarto, SH (24-26 January 2017).
Rector of Diponegoro University, Yos Johan Utama stated that the number of graduates is 2.177 people. Further, the graduates consist of 21 people from doctoral program, 308 people from the master program, 61 people from the specialist program, 159 people from professional programs, 1478 people from undergraduate programs and 150 people from the diploma program.
Rector hopes that they will have academic and non-academic skill to support the country development. Undip also serve the higher education for them. Because the quality of alumni also support the accreditation of university.
“Now Undip is being transformed into State University of Legal Entity and world class university which commit to manage independently, capable and prosperous. So, for students from poor families, university will support with scholarship of Bidikmisi.

Rector officially opens the closed house for chicken poultry at Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences on 27th of January 2017. It is a collaboration between Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Science with PT. Medion.
Speaking in the event, Rector of Diponegoro University Prof. Yos Johan Utama said, “ hopefully it will give maximum result to build the holding company that is being conducted”. Therefore, it will need good and serious management. Rector also hopes that the collaboration will last continously and give a lot of benefits.
Meanwhile, Dean of Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences Prof. Moh. Arifin explained that the purpose of closed house for chicken poultry is to supply healthy air and clean up the dangerous gas such as carbon dioxide and ammonia. It also to make cool climate by using blower for chilling effect. The closed house can also minimize a stressed level for chicken poultry by limiting contact with people, light and etc.
Further, the representative of PT. Medion Pitria stated that there are 71 alumnies of Undip works in PT. Medion. The famous products that are produced namely vaccines, herbal medicine, gas heater, livestock equipment and processed food such as nuggets and meatballs.
