Faculty of Engineering Undip has made impeccable achievements in the international scientific world. 7 academics from the Faculty of Engineering Undip have been listed as the World’s Top 2% Scientists according to the list published by Stanford University and Elsevier

As one of the most prominent scientific journal providers in the world, Elsevier in collaboration with Stanford University compiled a list of the world’s top 2% scientists annually. The rankings are based on the “citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship, and a composite indicator (c-score)”. As a result of the ranking, there are more than 100.000 scientists included in the world’s top 2% scientist list.

In the list published in August 2024, 7 academics from the Faculty of Engineering were listed as part of the world’s top 2% of scientists. Those 7 academics are listed as below:

1. Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiyanto, S.T, M.Sc, IPU
   Rank 57.173 in the world
   Expertise: Bioprocess and EnergyProf. Hadiyanto is one of the professors who gives lectures at the Department of Chemical Engineering Undip. As one of the experts in the field of biotechnology, his research mostly focuses on the field of water resources management and renewable energy. Currently, Prof. Hadiyanto is actively researching in the Center of Biomass and Renewable Energy (CBIORE) Undip and also as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Bioresources and Environmental Sciences (JBES) Undip.
2. Prof. Dr.rer.nat.Heru Susanto, S.T, M.M, M.T

   Expertise: Membrane TechnologyProf. Heru Susanto is a professor from the Department of Chemical Engineering Undip. As a professor in the field of membrane technology, his research focuses on the field of utilization and development of membrane technology and polymer. Besides his position as a professor, currently, he was appointed as the Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs of Universitas Diponegoro which will serve for the period of 2024-2029.

   Prof. Jamari is a professor from the Department of Mechanical Engineering Undip. As a professor, he is actively teaching several subjects regarding construction, namely The Mechanics of Material Strength, Contact Mechanics, and Tribology. In addition to his position as a professor in the field of tribology and engineering design, Prof. Jamari also serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Diponegoro for the period of 2024-2029

   Expertise: Membrane TechnologyProf. Tutuk Djoko Kusworo is a professor from the Department of Chemical Engineering Undip. As a researcher, Prof Tutuk has been recognized internationally as one of the experts in the field of membrane technology for water, wastewater treatment, gas separation, and carbon nanotubes production. In addition, he also becomes the editor-in-chief of The International Journal of Science and Engineering, an International Journal for waste resources and waste technology. Currently, he was selected as the Chairman of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Engineering Undip.
5. Prof. Dr. Ir. Andri Cahyo Kumoro, S.T, M.T, IPU, ASEAN Eng.

   Expertise: Agricultural Product ProcessingProf. Andri Cahyo Kumoro is one of the professors who works at the Department of Chemical Engineering Undip. As a researcher, his research mainly related to the development of food processing technology, industrial waste treatment, and chemical engineering system modeling. For now, he is appointed as the editor-in-chief of Jurnal Reaktor of the Department of Chemical Engineering Undip and editor at the Jurnal Rekayasa Proses of the Department of Chemical Engineering UGM.

His research mainly covers the topics in the field of machine learning in machine fault diagnosis and prognosis. For now, he is actively teaching several subjects at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Undip, such as Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Analysis, Mechanical Vibration, Kinematics and Dynamics, and Optimization Process.
7. Muhammad Imam Amarullah, S.T, M.T
   Rank 149.634 in the worldMuhammad Imam Amarullah is a doctoral student from the Department of Mechanical Engineering Undip. His research is mainly about tribology and biomechanics. Presently, he is actively researching at the Undip Biomechanic Engineering and Research Centre (UBM-ERC). An Undip’s laboratory facility which focused on research in the field of biomechanics.
