Undip and District Government of Batang signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) about education, research, community service and planning of area development at Courtroom of Rector Tembalang, Wednesday, February 8th, 2017. The purpose of MoU is to increase resource potential in order to support program of area development and empower communities.

Speaking in the event, Rector of Diponegoro University, Prof. Yos Johan Utama said that the program is in line with the direction of development in accordance with national policy, especially development in Central Java province.

“Undip with study centers owned is ready for supporting local government to implement development program supported by application of technology, dissemination of rules and softskill training.

Meanwhile, head of department of public works and space arrangement of District Government of Batang, Ir. Ketut Mariadji said thank you and appreciated for Undip. Further, he said “ I say thank you because Undip is ready to support the development program in District Government of Batang”.

“Besides to support development program phisically, it is to empower human resources also”, he said.

Hence, academical role is very essential to support the program of area development.
