This year, one of the teaching staff at the Department of Computer Engineering, Dr. Adian Fatchur Rochim, S.T., M.T received an honorary degree as a senior member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). Senior members are the highest level in the professional career of IEEE members. This award requires extensive knowledge, achievement in a professional career, and its contribution to the development of science. Only 10% of more than 400,000 members have reached this level.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a professional association for electronic engineering and electrical engineering (and related scientific disciplines) with corporate offices located in New York City and its operations center in Piscataway, New Jersey. The IEEE was formed in 1963 from the merging of the American Electrical Engineer Institute and the Radio Engineer Institute. In 2018, IEEE is the largest technical professional association in the world with more than 423,000 members in more than 160 countries worldwide. The goal is the educational and technical progress of electrical and electronic engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering, and related disciplines.
