Rector officially opens the closed house for chicken poultry at Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences on 27th of January 2017. It is a collaboration between Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Science with PT. Medion.
Speaking in the event, Rector of Diponegoro University Prof. Yos Johan Utama said, “ hopefully it will give maximum result to build the holding company that is being conducted”. Therefore, it will need good and serious management. Rector also hopes that the collaboration will last continously and give a lot of benefits.
Meanwhile, Dean of Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences Prof. Moh. Arifin explained that the purpose of closed house for chicken poultry is to supply healthy air and clean up the dangerous gas such as carbon dioxide and ammonia. It also to make cool climate by using blower for chilling effect. The closed house can also minimize a stressed level for chicken poultry by limiting contact with people, light and etc.
Further, the representative of PT. Medion Pitria stated that there are 71 alumnies of Undip works in PT. Medion. The famous products that are produced namely vaccines, herbal medicine, gas heater, livestock equipment and processed food such as nuggets and meatballs.
